Libya Expedition
SolarRoll 14, Solo in action
Richard Bangs couldn't resist...when news came that the US was lifting travel sanctions to Libya he jumped on it. Long forbidden and hidden, the Libyan desert is among the most spectacular landscapes in the world, and Bangs has always wanted to put together a camel and walking safari through this secret world with the Tuaregs as guides. Now what seemed impossible for decades has happened...
Bangs and photographer John Canning take you inside Libya for the first time. Along for the trip were a few vital Brunton products including: four SolarRoll 14 flexible solar panels, two Solo portable power plants and an ADC Pro Atmospheric Data Center.
The safari packed the equipment into the Libyan Desert on the backs of native camels. For more information on the expedition, check back here at Brunton.com regularly or look for the story on MSNBC, MSN, National Geographic Traveler and many other media outlets.
