At Brunton, we invest a lot of time, energy, and donation efforts towards geology students and young professionals.  They are obviously the future of the geoscience industry, and they bridge between analog and digital techniques more seamlessly than ever before.  And, as we've discovered in Emmalee's case, students often explain concepts in a more relatable, succinct, and fun way than we ever could ourselves!

Emmalee started making geology videos as an undergraduate student at BYU-Idaho. During her time as a student, she was a Teaching Assistant for several geology classes and realized that she enjoyed teaching and helping other people understand geologic concepts. The main goal of her channel is to deliver complex geologic concepts through digestible, fun videos while highlighting cool geology in different areas.

As a student geoscience communicator, Emmalee had the unique opportunity to document and share her field camp experience during Summer 2026 with her series, "A Day in the Life of a Field Camp Student" and project, "Rockin' with the Brunton Axis Transit at Field Camp". These projects give the viewer a front row seat to what it's like to be a student in Field Camp.
