Dave Canterbury is one of the best-known survival and bushcraft experts in the world, having starred on the Discovery Channel's Dual Survivor for two seasons and authoring several books, including Bushcraft 101 and Survivability for the Common Man. He has a huge presence on social media and is passionate about all things related to land navigation, vintage tools, and US legacy brands like Brunton.
Dave wandered up to the Brunton booth at the 2025 SHOT show, excited to see Brunton at that event again and also recognizing Zak Baker, our Sales Manager, from previous work together on bushcraft outreach. Dave has always been a big Brunton fan, and he quickly added Brunton products to his Self Reliance Outfitters store and Pathfinder School classes. He also has created a growing collection of YouTube and Instagram videos highlighting Brunton products and how to use them in various settings.
