In 2026, Brunton became the official compass for Scouting America and the Orienteering/Map & Compass merit badges.  We are excited to support and participate in the education of such an important skillset for scouts.  Brunton will even be at the 2026 Jamboree in July!

The TruArc™ 5 compass makes intensive map work a cinch with vial meridian lines and a map magnifier to ensure you see every detail. The oversize baseplate is ideal for accurate triangulation, and the parallax-free azimuth readout design adds accuracy and ease of use. 

Like all Brunton compasses, this TruArc™ 5 compass is made with pride in Riverton, Wyoming, USA and is packaged with sustainable materials.  The compass comes with a new quick-release safety lanyard with inch/cm ruler markings for additional map measurement functionality.
